How it works

1. Research what equipment you want to buy or book a free consultation with one of our team so we can assist with your specification
2. Make sure the equipment you want will fit into your available space - consider floor area, ceiling height, electrical points, floor coverings and access points.
3. Use our website to choose the equipment you want and calculate a price for each category until the price is in-line with your budget.
4. Choose the suppliers you want to negotiate with and we will share your contact details with the suppliers.
5. The suppliers will receive your equipment list and negotiate with you directly. They can also send you their best offer based on this order value
6. Their best offer will be valid for 30 days
7. You can repeat this process for different equipment or if you are happy with the price/ incentives from the supplier you can confirm your order by uploading a purchase order for each category or paying a 10% deposit
8. Once suppliers receive the PO or deposit along with your order details they will liaise with you on the equipment you have ordered and also payment of the balance.
9. At this stage, you have made a commitment to the supplier and changes CAN be made to the order. The equipment order and final value is confirmed directly with the supplier at the end of the process

Once all the negotiations are received back and you want to go ahead, we require you to click on the ‘Confirm Order’ button and choose your payment method for the 10% deposit (+VAT).

Deposit can be paid by: a) an official purchase order number or b) by selecting Deposit. If you select deposit, a request will be sent to the supplier to raise an invoice, which will be emailed directly to you. Once the deposit has been paid or PO received by the supplier they will contact you to confirm order details and delivery date. Please be aware some suppliers may require a different % deposit.

It is still possible to change the order even after paying the deposit, this would agreed directly with the supplier by you.

The pricing on this site has been worked through in detail with each supplier so they are competitive in the market place. While knowing that you are getting the best price is essential, buying the cheapest may not be your objective. Our website wants to ensure that whatever supplier you choose, you can be sure that the prices you have been quoted are their best prices, however there is an opportunity to negotiate. 

As a buyer, you can request a discount code from suppliers that you can add into the website if you already have a pre-agreed buying rate. Alternatively, suppliers may contact you or give you a special discount code that you can enter at point of ordering.

When you are using the website, your details are only shared with suppliers once you start negotiations or go straight to order. Therefore, if you want suppliers to know you are going to be using the site, it is best to contact them to get a discount code in line with your relationship with the supplier.

The prices that are shown on FitnessCompared include the standard manufactures warranty.  You will need to confirm what this directly with the manufacturer at negotiation stage. For Cardio and Strength equipment this is often 2 years parts and labour as standard, but it does vary between manufactures.

We feel it is important to introduce a review system for customers to rate their suppliers and also for suppliers to rate buyers. The supplier rating system can be completed at any point to share your experiences in 6 key areas. Customer feedback is very important to suppliers and will help other buyers with their decision making. Buyer feedback is only possible after they have bought something from a supplier. Suppliers may use this review system to base their ‘Value Added’ incentive if the buyer has a good score.
